Unrelenting Light - Tori Amos -foorumi

Aloitan nyt oman ketjun Alanisille, kun häneltä on tänä keväänä tulossa uusi levy!

Olen ollut Alanis-fani vuodesta -96 lähtien ja mun suosikkilevy on ehdottomasti toka levy Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie. Myös Jagged Little Pill on tietty hyvä, täynnä hittejä. Mutta sitten kolmas ja neljäs levy olivat ehkä pikkaisen vaimeampia... hyvät hetkensä niissäkin, mutta aika paljon ns. täytebiisejä mun mielestä.

Ostin vasta äsken SFIJ:n kun ostin muitakin levyjä. Se on Alaniksen levyistä (kolme ensimmäistä olen kuullut) se, joka eniten on kolahtanut. Unpluggedkin löytyy hyllystä, tuliaisena sain sen kerran.

Vaikka tarkoituksena on varmaan parodioida kappaletta, on se samalla mielestäni hyvin surullinen kun ajattelee joitain tyttöjä, jotka oikeasti ovat tuollaisia

Jep, on nähty! Hyvä versio. Surullista on sekin, että nuo sanat tosiaan ovat aidot, eli suoraan Black Eyed Peasin biisistä... huhhuh!!! Tässä muuten nopeutettuna sama, saa vielä paremmin selvää sanoista.

Alanis oli lukioaikojen suuri suosikki, Jagged Little Pill oli silloin ihan ehdoton ykköslevy... Cranberriesin ohella. Oi niitä aikoja.

Itsekin olen kuunnellut Alanista heti ekasta levystä alkaen. Vaikea sanoa mikä olisi se lempparilevy. Alanis:en miinuspuolia on se että välillä sanat ovat todella vaikeita.. outoja sanoja.. menee jo vähän semmoiselle taiteelliselle puolelle välillä Tuo Junkie cd on kyllä upea.. Uusin cd taas ehkä on vähiten kuunnelluin.. pitäisi taas sitäkin oikeastaan kuunnella. Alanis välillä "unohtuu" jonnekin. Pari upeaa b-puolta olisin halunnut itse levyille eli Fear of Bliss ja Sister Blister.

Mutta.. varmasti tulee ostettua tuo uusin Alanis taas. Kuulosti ihan hyvältä ja varmaan paranee kun saa sanat siihen mukaan..

Joo, Alanista pitää melkeinpä kuunnella sanakirja kädessä . Mutta oppiihan siinä uusia sanoja.

Muistaakseni ah-niin-nokkelana-ja-angstisena lukiolaisena laitoin joskus englannin aineeseenikin jonkun Alanis-lainauksen. Nyt ei ole kyllä taas moneen vuoteen tullut kuunneltua. Tarkemmin ajatellen, eipä noilta ajoilta ole kestokuunteluun ole juuri muita jäänyt kuin Kent (se sitten sitäkin vahvemmin ).

isosisko on aina diggaillut todella paljon Alanista, joten on tullut siinä sivussa sitten kuultua aika paljon. jotkut biisit on ihan hyviä, mutta milestäni muutama levy on vain tosi tasapaksua ja ei yhtään biisiä, jotka jäisi mieleen.

Löysin toisen foorumin kautta Alanis:n uuden Atlantassa äänitetyn konsertin tältä vuodelta ja siltä löytyy useampi uusi biisi. Äänenlaatu on kohtalainen.. halusinkin vaan kuunnella noi uudet biisit jotka on:

2.Moratorium
3.Tapes
4.Versions of Violence

Kuulostaa ihan kivalta ja takuulla vielä paremmalta sitten studioversioina

Ihan hieno

Alanis:en Myspace sivulla voi nyt kuunnella minuutin pätkän uudesta Moratorium biisistä ja kuulostaahan se kieltämättä aika..hmm pop/tekno tyyliseltä.. ei ainakaan rock vaikutteita juurikaan kuulunut. Mutta.. kuulosti kuitenkin ihan hyvältä.
